AMFI MAY 2024 Mutual Fund Investment Report

The Association Of Mutual Funds India has released their monthly infographics of AMFI for the month May 2024. AMFI is an association of registered asset management companies of SEBI or registered Mutual funds under the Indian market. Let’s have a look at the numbers presented.

MONTHLY SIP CONTRIBUTION

The SIP contribution for the month of April 2024 went upto ₹20,371 crore after being at ₹19,271 crore in March 2024. This shows a significant jump of about ₹10,000 crore in total of money in the Indian market pool.

NET NUMBER OF NEW SIP REGISTRATIONS

A jump to 30.4 lakh new accounts were witnessed this April 2024 while back in 2023 only 6.35 lakh new users registered in the month of April. This enumerates how rapidly due to digitalisation, people are being more conscious about their financial well being.

TOTAL NUMBER OF OUTSTANDING SIP ACCOUNTS

Around 870 lakh accounts stood out from the rest due to their participation and vigor while only 800 lakh stood so in the month of March.

SIP AAUM

In April 2024, ₹11,26,129 crore AAUM was generated as compared to ₹7,17,176 crore generated back in April 2023. Shouldn’t we applaud the growing economy of our nation?

AVERAGE NET ASSETS UNDER MANAGEMENT

April 2024= ₹57,01,359

April 2023= ₹ 41,52,715

MONTHLY NET FLOW IN EQUITY SCHEMES

If we present a concise view of the graph, sectoral schemes led with ₹ 5166 crore however focused schemes failed to hit the market as they suffered a loss of ₹328 crore.

MONTHLY NET FLOW IN OPEN ENDED DEBT SCHEME

According to the concise graph, the liquid scheme led the market with ₹ 102,752 crore but the banking sector hit a massive loss of ₹405 crore.

MONTH ON MONTH ANALYSIS OF NET HYBRID INFLOW

The result for April 2024 stood at ₹19,863 crore instead of ₹3317 crores as per April 2023.
